The California Center for the Arts, Escondido campus comes alive at the 8th annual Holiday Tree Lighting & Winter Wonderland, Saturday, December 1, 2012, 3:00PM to 8:00PM.
Everyone is welcome to this free event that features Victorian Carolers, special art activities for kids, a mini-mountain of snow for youngsters to play on, performances by the Center Chorale and three Children’s Choirs, the beautiful singing of Mexican tenor Marco Antonio Labastida, cookies & cocoa, costumed performers and, of course, visits with Santa.
Guests are encouraged to bring an unwrapped toy for an at-risk or underserved child that will be distributed by the Salvation Army. Gifts of non-perishable foods are also requested and will be distributed to families in need in the region by the Interfaith Communities Services.
