The Downtown Encinitas MainStreet Association will be continuing its night of Safe Trick or Treats on Wednesday, October 31, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. South Coast Hwy 101 from Encinitas Blvd to Self-Realization Fellowship Bookstore will be transformed into Pumpkin Lane featuring carved pumpkins at different viewing locations throughout downtown Encinitas. Once again, Pumpkin Lane beckons all pirates, princesses, witches, wizards, ghouls, gypsies, and mischief makers young and old to safely Trick or Treat on Halloween night.
The monks at Self Realization Fellowship are donating the pumpkins, as well as their time and pumpkin carving expertise to bring Pumpkin Lane to life. These intricately carved pumpkins can be viewed at various locations throughout downtown Encinitas including Berry Happy Frozen Yogurt (480 S Coast Highway 101), Smog Test Only Center (682 S Coast Highway 101), California Community Bank (851 S Coast Highway 101), and Self-Realization Fellowship Bookstore (1150 S Coast Highway 101).
All along South Coast Highway 101 local merchants with the DEMA Safe Trick or Treat logo in their window will be handing out candy. Children can play Halloween games as well as dance to the music of Bucket Ruckus from 5:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. in the Lumberyard courtyard courtesy of the 101 Artist’s Colony. The night would not be complete without a visit to the Queen’s Court, presented by the Self-Realization Fellowship at their bookstore (1150 S Coast Hwy 101), where the Queen will grant the wishes of all trick-or-treaters.
