The fourth annual Miracle Babies 5K Family Run/Walk for Hope fundraiser will take place 10 a.m. on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at Mariner’s Point on Mission Bay Park. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. Following the walk, participants and spectators will enjoy live music, kids’ activities, food, drinks and more. Strollers are welcomed and encouraged. Individual and team captain registration for adults is $30 and children age 12 and under are free. Participants may register as a sponsor or participant through www.stayclassy.org/miraclebabies5k or on location, the day of the event.
Miracle Babies, founded by Dr. Sean Daneshmand and based in San Diego, is a non-profit organization structured to provide education and financial support to families with newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Their mission is to provide financial assistance and support to families in need with newborns in the neonatal intensive care unit.
Every year more than 500,000 babies are born prematurely. As overwhelmed families grapple with the terrifying uncertainties, they often find themselves faced with unexpected financial difficulties.
